Antalya Airport is the second biggest airport of Turkey referring to air traffic numbers. Especially in the summer season there are many charter operations from almost all countries of Europe and Asia.
Besides charter flights, there are tariff flights to Antalya from some major cities of Europe and Russia operated by several airline companies. Unfortunately the number of the destinations directly connnected to Antalya is limited and the frequency of the flights may differ referring to seasonal volumes. To reach Antalya all year round regardless of seasonal facts is always possible with Turkish Airlines, the national airline company of Turkey.
Turkish Airlines connects Antalya to major 118 international destinations all around the world by connection flights via Istanbul Ataturk Airport. The connection flights are very well organised in order to minimaze waiting hours in the airport. Turkish Airlines is known as one of the best operated airlines in the world with its high quality ground and on board services. Turkish Airlines has a very young and modern fleet of total 102 aircrafts at the moment and continue to increase the number of the aircrafts and destinations.

The harbour in Alanya serves as a dock for cruise ships. There are even hydrofoils and seasonal ships ferrying passengers to Kyrenia, which is located in Turkish Republic of North Cyprus.

Getting Around
The best way to explore Alanya is by bicycling around the resort though walking is also a good option. Of course, local buses are always there for the taking when you feel tired. Another option is to hire a car and explore the wider region.
Dolmus
Sadly the popular Dolmus buses are no longer seen in Alanya. They have been swapped with public buses, thanks to a Council resolution banning all private buses from the streets. But the Dolmus bus station is still functional, offering a waiting area to the Dolmus buses serving destinations outside Alanya. Even these buses drive around the by-pass and are never seen in the main street.
Bus
Buses are quite a convenient way to get around Alanya, what with more and more new bus stops springing up all over the city. The bus drivers too are quite an obliging lot, and stop anywhere you signal them to, even if the stop is not an official one. To avoid surprises don’t bank on this generosity and plan to use the official stops!
Bus timings: Runs daily between 7 am and midnight.
Price: 50 eurocent. Children pay half price. No other discounts are offered.
Fare is payable in cash to the driver. It would save a lot of bother if you have the exact fare in hand.
